Group: Editing Review

LUCA:
Last week, I was primarily involved in the editing process of our footage from our first 3 shoots. After experiencing many set-backs and technical difficulties, I managed to start placing some footage on the timeline. Above, is the exported section of the introduction to our music video. As you can see the first 6 shots are very unstable so we intend to go on and stabilise these shots before our final export. In editing I have come to the realisation that we may have filmed far too much footage for the short third narrative line and - whilst it is good to have more footage - the amount we have makes it hard to decide which is integral to plot and which shots to include.

BOTH:
This introduction is almost our response to the inspiring RATKING video - analysed earlier in the blog. We took the inspiration and then built on this as to make it more relevant to our concept specifically in the sense of placing our video in a location where all the action takes place. We have included a wide range of shots taking into account rule of thirds, distance, angle and length in the bid to achieve technical excellence; but we also appreciate that these shots need stabilising as they are too shaky.
